Kevin Federline celebrated turning 30 by getting smeared with cake at his birthday party.

He turned up for his big bash in a dapper suit but looked distinctly unstylish when friends plastered his face with the birthday surprise.

However, K-Fed – who is going through a bitter custody battle for the children he had with Britney Spears – didn’t seem too bothered after the incident at Pure nightclub in Las Vegas.

He laughed and joked with guests, and posed for the cameras despite having creamy gunge on his face.

Even another ex, actress Shar Jackson, was invited to the party.

Elizabeth Hurley was caught on camera as she left her London home to go out on an errand. She wore a short, summer dress that moved seductively. She almost gave us an upskirt moment.

Elizabeth has been the subject of speculation as Denis Leary’s wife, Ann Leary, has written a book about an actor and actress having an extra-marital affair. Some readers thought that Denis and Elizabeth Hurley were the characters but the author denied it.

Kate Hudson’s four-year-old son Ryder went to a Father’s Day brunch with her new beau Lance Armstrong — and dad Chris Robinson.

With their kids in tow, Hudson and Armstrong split into two cabs for the ride from the actress’ New York City home to Brooklyn restaurant Frankie’s 457.

“There was a boys’ cab and a girls’ cab,” an onlooker tells Joynews. “Ryder went with Lance.

“He was very comfortable with Lance,” the onlooker adds. “He ran right towards him!”

The actress and the cyclist — who were also spotted in Toronto over the weekend at a charity bike race — put the focus of Father’s Day on their young kids. (Armstrong has a son, Luke, 8, and twin daughters Isabelle and Grace, 6, with ex-wife Kristin, whom he split from in 2003.)

“They were corralling all these kids together,” the eyewitness says. “It was really about the kids.”

Ten minutes after arriving in Brooklyn, two more guests showed up: Hudson’s ex Chris Robinson and his girlfriend.

“They all celebrated Father’s Day together,” the witness tells Us.

The big group left after about two hours, at 12:30 p.m.

Hudson has played coy about her two-month relationship with Armstrong. “You should ask him [if we're dating],” she told Barbara Walters (Watch here).

In last year’s hit film “Hairspray,” her character was “big, blond and beautiful.”

The blond is long gone and, in signing on as the new celebrity face of Jenny Craig, actress/singer Queen Latifah wants to work on the “big.” As part of the First Steps campaign, Latifah hopes to lose 5 percent to 10 percent of her body weight and keep it off.

“For me, it’s not about a body image thing. I feel pretty confident,” the 37-year-old star of “Mad Money” said at a recent press conference for Jenny Craig. “I do realize I’m a role model to a lot of people, and I’ve been a role model for confidence. I feel being a healthier person is a good thing. If I can set the example for confidence on the inside, why not set it for confidence on the outside as well?”

The campaign’s message, according to company and medical officials, is not one of drastic “I lost-100-pounds-in-six-months” alterations, routinely screamed by the tabloids. Shedding 5 percent to 10 percent of one’s body weight significantly reduces an overweight person’s risk of diabetes, heart disease or other related ailments.

“There’s good medical data that a modest weight loss has huge health benefits,” says Dr. Francine Kaufman, head of the Center for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. “This is a relatively new message. Jenny Craig has always been centered on getting the right portion size and the nutrient quality of the foods. We’re all starting to realize more and more how a healthy lifestyle promotes a healthy outcome.”

In addition, most people consider modest weight loss a manageable goal, says Dr. Ken Fujioka, director of the Center for Weight Management at Scripps Clinic and Scripps Green Hospital in San Diego.

“You don’t have to be thin. You don’t have to be a normal weight,” says Fujioka. “Losing more than 10 percent of your body weight is actually very difficult. Your body fights it.”

This approach fits Latifah just fine.

“I do not want to get skinny,” the actress, born Dana Owens, says. “I do not necessarily need to fit into a bikini. But a tankini could work.”

In joining what she calls “the JC crew,” Latifah follows in the slimming-down footsteps of actresses Kirstie Alley (who lost 75 pounds on the program) and Valerie Bertinelli (40 pounds).

Unlike those other two actresses, however, Latifah was already a plus-size performer when she became famous, first as a hip-hop artist and later in films. She has long professed herself personally and professionally at ease with her curvy figure. Indeed, an October People magazine cover story trumpeted the actress as being “200 Pounds and Loving It!”

But Latifah says one of the letters replying to the People article set her to thinking.

“Someone else wrote, `As a role model, I think it would be great if Queen Latifah could really set the example of being healthy.’ It struck a chord with me,” Latifah says. “I said that maybe there’s something to that. Maybe I should think about that. Maybe I could be that person.”

Latifah announced her support of Jenny Craig during her Trav’lin Light Tour in October but didn’t formally join the program at the time. Preparing to shoot the film “The Secret Life of Bees” in North Carolina, Latifah expects the Jenny Craig requirements to be easy to follow, and hopes to reach her weight goal in four to six weeks.

And then?

“Then I’ll maintain it, maybe even lose more,” she says. “It depends on how I feel. Sometimes you get excited. You want to go even further.”

Academy Award-winning actress and “Dancing With the Stars” sensation Marlee Matlin is working on a memoir, scheduled to come out in 2009 and tentatively titled “I’ll Scream Later.”

“As a young girl, I imagined myself as Marcia Brady who just happened to be deaf, skating down the street saying hi to everyone I knew,” Matlin, an Oscar winner in 1987 for “Children of a Lesser God,” said in a statement issued Tuesday by Simon Spotlight Entertainment, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.

“But today, as a mom of four, I’m no longer Marcia. I’ve morphed into Alice, the Maid. Goodbye, Marcia, Marcia, Marcia.”

According to Simon Spotlight, the 42-year-old Matlin will confide about her “unresolved issues and battles with addiction and abuse, many of which she kept hidden from the public and her family.” She also will “delve into her loves and life in Hollywood,” including such television shows as “Picket Fences,” “The Practice” and “The West Wing.”

Her previous books include a novel, “Deaf Child Crossing,” and the young people’s stories “Leading Ladies” and “Nobody’s Perfect.”

The actress who played Wonder Woman on TV in the 1970s says she didn’t do anything extraordinary when she discovered a body this week on the Potomac River in Washington.

Lynda Carter tells The Washington Post she was alone in a boat when she saw the body Wednesday. She says she didn’t have a cell phone with her, so she yelled to some fishermen and asked them to call police. Carter waited until rescuers arrived and directed them to the body.

District of Columbia police say the body of 47-year-old Helen Johnstone of Washington was found floating on the river Wednesday. The medical examiner’s office has not declared an official cause of death.

Carter says she “did what anybody would have done.”

Alanis Morissette is not the person Rob Thomas thought she was.

Matchbox Twenty and its lead singer once saw her as a Zenlike soul, Morissette told Newsweek for its issue hitting newsstands Monday.

“He kept saying that whenever I wasn’t with him, his imagining was that I was levitating somewhere, meditating,” the Canadian singer said.

But then, “we had the most debaucherous, entertaining, hysterical time together, so they were the first to say that their perception of me was a little off,” she told the magazine. She did not elaborate on the debaucherous details.

Morissette is in the process of releasing her latest album “Flavors of Entanglement” and writing her first book, a compilation of essays, photographs and mood-boosting exercises.

She uses writing as an outlet for her anger, which she said is not directed toward ex-boyfriend Ryan Reynolds. The actor recently became engaged to actress Scarlett Johansson.

“I’m really happy for him,” she said.
