Amy Winehouse blew off the photocall for Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday concert in London this weekend. And this was no small affair: Will Smith, Annie Lennox, and Brit singers Sugababes and Leona Lewis were among the dozens of big-named celebs that managed to show up.

Where was Winehouse? I know, the first thought was “Well the poor dear’s been in the hospital, fighting early emphysema and whatnot. Who knows if she’s up to it?” Nope, Amy was stocking up on some serious booze. Well, serious for most of us. It’s more like mother’s milk to her.

Amy Winehouse was spotted shopping for alcohol and sweets today instead of joining her pop contemporaries at a photocall for Friday’s Nelson Mandela concert.

Although the troubled star confirmed she will sing at Mandela’s 90th birthday concert - despite being diagnosed with early stages of emphysema - her snub will no doubt unsettle organisers and fans ahead of the highly-anticipated gig in London’s Hyde Park.

The 24-year-old was released from hospital on Monday after doctors confirmed she has scarring of the lungs which can cause emphysema, but it is treatable.

Despite pledging to honour her live commitments at both Glastonbury and the Mandela concert yesterday and spending an hour-and-a-half in rehearsals since leaving the London Clinic, Winehouse was a no-show today.

Instead she visited her husband Blake Fielder-Civil at London’s Pentonville Prison, before stopping off at an off licence for some Jack Daniels whisky and vodka and a packet of sweets.

I’d place the odds of Amy Winehouse actually showing up to perform at 10,000 to one. And I’m guessing I’ll have no takers for that bet.

Amy Winehouse is really a do-it-yourselfer though, isn’t she? Most celebs would send an assistant or some random street urchin to buy their alcohol and fetch their drugs. But Winehouse knows how to keep it real. That means ignoring Nelson Mandela and visiting her jailbird husband, then going home to get soused before falling asleep with a needle still stuck in her vein.

How is it possible that Joss Stone may be having money problems, while crackhead Amy Winehouse is somehow still worth millions? It’s hard to believe, but the Daily Mirror is reporting that Stone’s company is in debt after paying out 2.2 Million pounds to the singer so she could purchase a home.

Joss Stone may have to live on a diet of free chocolate bars if her business accounts keep dwindling.

The singer and Cadbury Flake girl paid herself a whopping £2.2million salary last year.

Living in Hollywood is proving expensive, leaving her company Joss Ltd in the red to the tune of £412,295 last year.

The Devon diva hasn’t had a Top 10 hit since 2004 so her record company will be putting pressure on her to produce a new album.

A source said: “Joss bought a house last year, so a large chunk of money went on that. But she needs to rein [sic] in her spending before she gets in trouble.”

Another company, Joss ROW Touring, ended the year £210,050 in the red and Joss Publishing Ltd lost £62,588.

Expect more Flake ads or the cookie will really crumble..

To clear something up: while Stone may not have had a Top 10 single since 2004, her last album, “Introducing Joss Stone,” debuted at number 2 on the UK Billboard charts and sold 118,000 copies in its first week, becoming the highest debut for a British solo female artist on the U.S. charts, surpassing the record previously held by Amy Winehouse with “Back to Black.” So it’s not like Joss is about to be living in a cardboard box or something. And when you put it into context, 2.2 Million really isn’t that extravagant- Amy Winehouse probably goes through that much per month just to maintain her beehive. Hopefully, this is just another exaggerated story. But if not- Joss- put down the joint and start writing some new material, honey!

The Sun posted footage of Amy Winehouse smoking crack 19 minutes after she snorted ecstasy and cocaine and admitting she took six Valium to bring herself down. The video shows Amy wandering around a crack den bellyaching about her cat she thinks someone stole. “If I was that cat I’d leave on my own accord — I’d call a cab. It ain’t right. This ain’t Toys R Us. They took my cat.”

In spite of what everyone believes, Amy Winehouse can be helped and it isn’t through rehab. All you have to do is replace her crack pipe with one of those kiddie bubble pipes. That way, instead of a high like no other, she can play with the bubbles that come out. There’s an off chance she’ll notice something is amiss and try to stab you with a dirty needle, but look, bubbles!

Amy Winehouse has been on a downward spiral for the better part of this and last year. Now her career may well be over. News of the World obtained leaked footage of Amy Winehouse singing a racist chant, “Blacks, Pakis, Gooks and Nips, Gooks and Nips! (And deaf and dumb and blind and gay!)” to the tune of the popular kids song, “Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.” The video was shot by husband Blake Fielder-Civil, currently in prison, in what NOTW describes as a “crack den (her home?). An apt description since Amy is surrounded by what appears to be heroin, a homemade crack pipe and other drug paraphernalia. That’s not all. NOTW also has photos:

Some of the most bizarre photos show Blake and Amy horsing around on a bed, their faces almost touching, and swapping white tablets from mouth to mouth.

Another catches Amy, obviously out of her head and clutching her homemade crack pipe, as she turns hooded eyes, deadened by the drug, to the lens. In further scenes the depths the couple have sunk to is illustrated by the seedy sex scenes Blake was eager to record on video.

One shows a disinterested Amy pleasuring him with one hand while chatting matter-of-factly on a phone held in the other.

Our source said: “What’s really telling is Amy’s clear lack of enthusiasm. From her demeanour, she looks under the influence and it appears Blake probably is too. Videoing something like that is so sleazy.”

There’s more shocking footage filmed in the public stairwell of a hotel. First Blake asks Amy to perform oral sex on him. A woozy-looking Amy asks: “Are you vidding (videoing)?” and Blake tells her to wink at the camera.

What’s more disturbing than the video is the fact Amy Winehouse fondled Blake’s package without his penis shriveling up and falling off. Couple that with the fact that Blake gave Amy an open invitation to fellate him and you may have the most shocking video ever. I’d rather rape a sleeping bear than have sexual contact with Amy. That way, when I explain to people that my genitals are mangled because I molested a 500 pound animal, their level of disgust will be much lower than had I told them it’s because Amy Winehouse put her mouth on it.

News of the World also has other details like “Blake takes baths with dudes” and “Blake’s bearded friends touch his crotch.”

Amy Winehouse’s father says his daughter has lung damage from smoking crack cocaine and cigarettes.

Mitch Winehouse told the Sunday Mirror newspaper Amy has early stage emphysema and has been warned that she will have to wear an oxygen mask unless she stops smoking drugs. Mitch Winehouse said Amy also had an irregular heartbeat, in an interview published Sunday.

Winehouse collapsed at her north London home Monday after signing autographs for a group of fans and was taken for tests at a London hospital. She has remained under observation.

British singer Amy Winehouse has been hospitalized after fainting, her rep tells Joynews.

“Amy was at home this afternoon when she briefly fainted,” her rep said. “Fortunately, her manager’s assistant was there to stop her falling.”

“She quickly recovered and her father Mitch took her to hospital as a precaution,” the rep explained. “Doctors are unsure of the cause of the incident and Amy is currently undergoing tests.”

The 24-year-old Grammy winner “may be kept in [the hospital] overnight for observation,” the rep added.

Last month, Winehouse was released on bail after being arrested for suspicion of drug use. She was questioned by police for more than nine hours about footage from January that shows her allegedly using a crack pipe.

The singer also went to rehab in January.

Police have charged a man and a woman in London with supplying drugs to Amy Winehouse.

The charges stem from a video that appeared to show the singer smoking .

London police say John Blagrove and Cara Burton have been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and MDMA, also known as ecstasy.

The suspects were released on bail Thursday until their next court appearance on July 1.

Police began an investigation after photos from the footage were published in The Sun newspaper in January. Detectives say Winehouse will not be charged in the case.

The singer has seen her rise to fame overshadowed by media attention to her turbulent private life. She is best known for her breakthrough hit “Rehab.”

Amy Winehouse’s husband beat up a pub landlord and then offered him $400,000 to keep quiet about the attack, a prosecutor said Tuesday.

Prosecution lawyer Sean Larkin said barman James King suffered a broken cheekbone in the June 2006 attack by Blake Fielder-Civil and another man — but was willing to accept money to spare his attackers jail.

King, 36, is on trial for conspiring to pervert the course of justice (the equivalent of obstruction of justice in the U.S.). He denies the charge, and says he was intimidated into withdrawing the assault claim.

Larkin told the jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court that a deal had been struck for King to retract his statement, leave the country and not show up for any trial, “and that Mr. King expected to be paid something in the order of 200,000 pounds.”

Fielder-Civil, 26, pleaded guilty last week to perverting the course of justice, and also admitted assault. Three other men — James Kennedy, Anthony Kelly and Michael Brown — also pleaded guilty to involvement in the plot. All three face jail terms when they are sentenced later.

Larkin said Kennedy and Kelly contacted the Daily Mirror and tried to sell their story of the beating and the cover-up. The newspaper went to the police.

The lawyer said Daily Mirror journalist Stephen Moyes had asked whether Winehouse was involved.

“He was told by Kelly, `Who do you think is paying for it? Of course she is,”’ Larkin said.

In December, police arrested and questioned Winehouse on suspicion of attempting to interfere with Fielder-Civil’s case. The singer was released without charge, and Larkin said there was no evidence to suggest she was involved.

In a statement, King said he was pressured into making a video recording of himself withdrawing his allegation of assault.

“I was told that I would have to say that I was not under duress, which was as far from the truth as possible,” King said.

“Apparently the video was for Amy Winehouse. It seems they were extorting her for money to make this go away,” he said.

Winehouse and Fielder-Civil were married in Miami in May 2007. He was arrested in November and has been in jail ever since.

Winehouse, 24, released the Grammy-winning album, “Back to Black,” in 2006. Her music has been overshadowed by reports of her troubled personal life.

In the latest tabloid storm, Winehouse defended herself against allegations of racism after a newspaper published footage of her singing a ditty loaded with racial epithets.

The husband of troubled soul singer Amy Winehouse has admitted to assaulting a pub landlord before attempting to cover it up, court officials said on Monday.

Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, admitted committing grievous bodily harm and conspiring to pervert the course of justice, charges which relate to a pub brawl in 2006.

Winehouse, who picked up five Grammy awards in February, made several visits to her husband in jail and has referred to the case at recent concerts.

The guilty pleas could be reported after judge David Radford lifted reporting restrictions on the case, an official at Snaresbrook Crown Court, east London, said.

Winehouse, 24, and Fielder-Civil, both from north London, married in May, 2007, in Miami, and in the following months were followed by paparazzi and appeared regularly in Britain’s celebrity-hungry tabloid newspapers.

Fielder-Civil, a one-time music video assistant, has spent much of his first year of marriage behind bars, having been remanded in custody ahead of the trial.

It had been due to take place late last year but was postponed until this month for legal reasons.

Winehouse appeared in court last week to support Fielder-Civil during lengthy pre-trial hearings.

Critics attending some of her recent performances have said the singer, who has been battling drug addiction and checked into a rehabilitation clinic in January, appeared to be deeply disturbed by the case.

Three of Fielder-Civil’s co-defendants in the case also pleaded guilty to charges related to the crime, and the pub landlord, James King, alone faces trial on the charge of perverting the course of justice after pleading not guilty.

The group will be sentenced on a date to be set.
