Jeanne Kelly and her sister, Diane, both bid $7,000 at a Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy charity auction for their sons to have a meet-and-greet with David Beckham. The package was supposed to include round trip flights to LA, hotel accommodations, VIP field seats at Friday’s Galaxy game and the chance for their sons to meet David who was supposed to sign a jersey for them. On Tuesday, Kelly and her sister both received calls from Darren Brown from Charity Sports Auctions that the event was canceled because David had a breach of security and isn’t doing it anymore. Page Six explains:

Brown told us Charity Sports Auctions got the Beckham package from the LA-based entertainment group ACE. Max Soto, the president of ACE, told Page Six the event has just “been postponed,” adding, “It was never intended to be promoted on David alone. There were internal issues.”

Beckham’s agent, Jeff Raymond, says neither Beckham nor the Galaxy was even informed of the event and, “It’s unfortunate they lost their money. David would never not honor charity he was supposed to do.”

This is why I don’t donate to charities. Too much heartache. And that whole giving to those less fortunate thing. Plus, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy? I’m not even sure how to pronounce that. Are you sure they didn’t just make it up? Maybe it’s worse than it sounds like Rhinovirus sounds menacing, but it’s just a cold. Can’t they walk it off? I mean, I’ve stubbed my toe on more than one occasion. It hurt a lot, but no one donated to my Hurt Toe Foundation.

On an unrelated note, people say I have a lump of coal for a heart, but I like to believe I never had one to begin with.

David is bending it like Beckham in a new ad for Armani.

The designer company has just released the saucy image from their new ad campaign (or is it ab campaign?) featuring an bikini-briefs-wearing Becks reclining on a post at the beach.

In December, Becks was revealed as the “face” of Emporio Armani Underwear - although he certainly seems to be using much more of his anatomy to push the product.

“David is truly a modern day icon in that his fame extends well beyond the realm of soccer,” Armani said in a statement last year. “He is considered as one of the world’s most talented soccer players and a former captain of his national team, but his image has come to stand for more than this. He represents a notion of modern masculinity: as a sports hero, husband and father.”

The Galaxy soccer star created a major stir with the first campaign, which featured him in magazines and on billboards across the world, reclining on a bed in white underpants.

Associated Press LOS ANGELES - Jack Nicholson was in his familiar courtside seat wearing his traditional sunglasses Tuesday night, cheering on the Lakers in Game 3 of the NBA finals.

It was a scene reminiscent of the 1980s, when Nicholson supported the Lakers at The Forum in Inglewood in their three finals matchups with the Celtics.

Actress Dyan Cannon, another fan dating to the Magic Johnson-led “Showtime” Lakers, was also on hand as was soccer star David Beckham, a Staples Center regular since joining the Los Angeles Galaxy last summer.

Actors Denzel Washington, Dustin Hoffman, Timothy Hutton, Kristin Davis, Hilary Duff, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon were others who showed up along with directors Spike Lee and Penny Marshall, along with Playboy boss Hugh Hefner and his girlfriends, the stars of the reality show “The Girls Next Door.”

Former Lakers standouts Rick Fox and A.C. Green, ex-Celtics Jo Jo White and Bill Walton, and European soccer players Didier Drogba and Darren Bent were in attendance. Boston’s Kevin Garnett got the tickets for Drogba and Bent.

Victoria Beckham celebrated her 34th birthday yesterday at the hip mexican restaurant, Pink Taco, at Westfield mall in Century City. Her husband, David was there to enjoy the small party with their three sons, Brooklyn, 9, Romeo, 5, and Cruz, 3.

Little Cruz is the superstar in training! Besides from his break dancing skills, we now can see how he has learned to emulate an interesting gesture his famous papa.
