For Jessica Simpson fans waiting for the star’s first country music video, come on over!

The singer is premiering the video for “Come On Over” – the hit single off her debut country album Do You Know?, out Sept. 9 – on her Web site Friday. The video will be available online until its TV premiere on EXTRA Monday night.

“I had so much fun making my video, I’m so glad y’all finally get to see it!” Simpson – who celebrated her 28th birthday Thursday – wrote on her Web site.

Liz Friedlander, who has directed clips for Celine Dion, R.E.M., and Blink 182, shot Simpson’s video at the Little Creek Ranch in southern California.

The singer has made some memorable videos: She had fans in a lather over her steamy car wash in the 2005 clip for “These Boots Were Made for Walkin’,” and 2006’s “A Public Affair,” directed by Brett Ratner, co-starred Eva Longoria, Christina Applegate, Eva Mendes and Christina Milian.

For “Come On Over,” there aren’t any celeb cameos – but fans will get a glimpse of the bottle for her new perfume, Fancy.

In May, Simpson became the highest-charting debut solo artist in the history of the Billboard Country Singles Chart when “Come On Over” debuted at No. 41.

Celebrities are known to get lots of free stuff, not just in swag bags at events but generally they are sent things for free. The theory is that the celebrity will be seen wearing an item which will generate demand for the brand.

I’ve seen some clothes that I would love to have gracing my wardrobe, but I have never been so envious as I am of Hugh Laurie’s celebrity perk.

Laurie - a human being so lovely and bright that, in a troubled world, merely uttering his name feels like saying a prayer - has been displaying superlative, ground-level analysis of the swings-and-roundabouts nature of fame. “[Being famous means that] you can get a table in a restaurant,” he muses. “But then you’ve got to go past a line of people who can’t get a table - and that’s a bad feeling.” But he goes on inadvertently to blow the lid off what will, surely, become one of the big media talking-points of the year. “I’ve [been given] a Burger King Gold Card,” he said casually.

The Burger King Gold Card entitles you, says The Times, to free burgers for life.

I love Burger King. I hold them entirely responsible for my pregnancy weight gain, despite the fact that I was the one shoveling it into my mouth at the time. For once I am green with envy.

The Times comments that this will be the ‘new high water mark of celebrity and power’, and that they also mention that Jay Leno has one. I guess this would actually be something that we common folk could envy, because I think just about everyone has eaten fast food. The previous ‘item to have’ was the American Express black card, which was used frequently by Jessica Simpson on Newlyweds where she commented that they had a limit on how many people could have one.

This puts my McDonald’s drive thru sticker to shame.

PETA ripped on Jessica Simpson yesterday for wearing a shirt that read: “Real girls eat meat.” They called her an idiot. PETA writes:

For a gal who’s best known for her less-than-stellar brains (Chicken of the Sea, anyone?) and her ability to proportionately fill out daisy dukes, I’m gonna go on record saying that if anyone had to wear a ridiculous shirt like this, I’m glad it was Jessica—as people are more likely to follow the opposite of her lead … ya know, since she’s so well respected and all (yes, that was difficult to type without tossing in a hefty LOL). Maybe the meat-eaters of the world will be embarrassed to be categorized in the same field as Jessica Simpson.

OK! Magazine says the shirt is a dig at Carrie Underwood, Tony Romo’s ex, who is a devout vegan.

“Jess is sick of hearing about how Tony still has feelings for Carrie,” says the insider. “She’s obviously trying to poke fun at her rival and let her know who really has Tony’s heart.”

PETA is missing the sexual innuendo, but that’s fine because PETA is gay. According to them, these are the top five reasons “stupid girls brag about eating meat.”

1. Meat increases the risk of breast cancer.
2. Real girls don’t support animal abuse.
3. The meat industry is destroying the Earth.
4. Meat will make you fat.
5. Eating meat steals food from starving kids.

Whatever. If you want to be vegan, that’s fine with me, but don’t tell me how bad meat is because it’s falling on deaf ears. Meat is awesome. I eat meat all the time. Bacon for breakfast, genetically enhanced chicken for lunch, hormone injected steak for dinner and then end the day with a blended meat shake. Mmm. Afterwards, I like to lie down on the floor and prepare for the ensuing heart attack. Life is good.

Jessica Simpson opened up about her dad during a radio interview in Colton, CA at K-Frog 95.1 on Tuesday.

“There have been stories that are ridiculous,” Simpson who is promoting her new country album said. “Like my father really fit me for a training bra. Like, who believes that kind of thing!?”

“I really just wanted to showcase the talent that God has given me and I don’t believe that in pop music I ever had the chance to stand on two feet and stand firm,” Simpson said.

And though “Come on Over” is receiving positive feedback, Simpson revealed, “My greatest fear is failure… failing or disappointing my fans from the pop world.”

As for her Dallas Cowboys football player beau Tony Romo, when asked about whether or not she will be wearing a blue jersey to his games (read about the Jessica Simpson jinx here) the singer laughed, “No more pink ones!”

Simpson also touched on the emotional repercussions of her divorce from Nick Lachey.

“With Newlyweds people really got in on my life and got to see my personality on a weekly basis,” she said. “Then after going through the divorce and what not it made me shut down for a while, but now I”m back and really confident.”

Tell Us: Does Jessica seem confident?

She loves meat, and she loves Tony Romo. Clearly there is a difference between the two: Meat is what’s for dinner, Romo is what’s for first round playoff exits while your hot girlfriend takes the blame. Get it? This is Jessica and Tony over the weekend walking through LAX. I am sure they were getting back from Cabo where Tony tore up Margarita and Karaoke night at Squid Row. Ah the life of an overrated Quarterback!

Did Jessica Simpson try to start a food fight with Tony Romo’s ex Carrie Underwood?

The singer, 27, wore a “Real Girls Eat Meat” T-shirt (which she got for free from steakhouse Primehouse New York) during a weekend outing with Romo, who dated Underwood in 2007.

Underwood was named PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian in 2005.

PETA quickly jumped to Underwood’s defense.

“Jessica Simpson’s meaty wardrobe malfunction makes us thankful that no one is looking to her for food advice. Chicken-of-the-Sea, anyone?” a PETA rep tells Joynews. “The woman who thought that Buffalo ‘Wings’ came from buffalos would benefit from some good veggie brain food.”

Adds the rep: “We’re rushing Jessica one of our Vegetarian Starter Kits.”

Carrie Underwood may have won “American Idol” and a Grammy — but she hasn’t let it go to her head.

“I don’t consider myself sexy … I’m kind of a nervous person in general,” Underwood, 25, admits in the July issue of Cosmopolitan.

“I’m socially awkward,” she adds. “I’m not tall and sensuous. I usually wear sweats everywhere I go. Oh, and I burp a lot.”

Underwood, an Us Weight Winner, has dated her share of good-looking guys, including “Gossip Girl’s” Chace Crawford and current Jessica Simpson beau Tony Romo.

As for their splits?

While she doesn’t name names, she says, “Cheating is a deal breaker - If you cheat, you’re gone.” Underwood, who told “Extra” her April break up with Crawford was over text, doesn’t believe in plotting against her exes.

“Getting revenge on a guy is just not worth it to me,” she says. “The best revenge I can think of is becoming famous.”

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Ladies and gents, here’s your chance to get “Intimate” with Jessica Simpson.

The blonde bombshell is set to release her own lingerie line, Jessica Simpson’s Intimates, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

“I like different lingerie for different occasions. I think that’s the best thing about it. You can feel sexy or girly depending on your mood,” Jessica told WWD. “It is the first thing you put on. If you start with something that fits correctly and is comfortable and fashionable, it will only complement your look.”

The line of bras, underwear, sleepwear and daywear is slated to hit store shelves and online retailers in Spring 2009.

The new venture is the latest in Jess’ fashion portfolio, which already includes successful shoe, sunglass, swimsuit and handbag lines.

Jessica Simpson’s Intimates could generate about $30 million in its first year, WWD noted.

One obstacle Jessica hopes her new line will overcome is unsightly panty lines.

“That is why I am including, in my collection, a stylish assortment of shapewear that women will love,” Jessica added.

In the wake of Us Weekly’s cover story that Jessica Simpson’s controlling father was the main source behind her May split from Tony Romo, Joe Simpson tells “Extra” he’s not the controlling father he’s made out to be.

“The media says that I try to plan everything - If I had half of the power they give me…They [Ashlee and Jessica] don’t call me and ask me. They call me and tell me.”

He adds that Jessica “… is as happy as I’ve seen her in years.” and gushes about the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, “He’s a great guy. I love Tony to death….He’s just a good kid….”

Us reports in the current issue that Joe asked Romo, 28, to let him help represent him. As tension grew, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback gave Jessica an ultimatum: Tell dad to back off!

Joe tells “Extra” that the public has many misconceptions about him as his daughters’ manager. “For all those people thinking I’m sipping Piña Coladas on the beach and enjoying millions of dollars and having this great life – Bull..I work seven days a week, 24/7.”

Simpson, who officiated daughter Ashlee’s wedding to Pete Wentz, says, “I love Pete to death…He has a patient spirit and a kind heart…I’m honored to have Pete as my son-in-law.”

Although Simpson tells “Extra” that the sex of Ashlee’s baby, which will be his first grandchild is unknown, “I would love to have a boy, but I know how to raise girls so I’m good with that.”
