Jamie Lynn Spears‘ former All That co-star Adrienne Bailon says newborn Maddie Briann is in good hands.

“She has really grown up — I pray many blessings on her and the new baby,” Bailon (who is in The Cheetah Girls) told Usmagazine at the L.A. premiere of Wall-E Saturday. “I wish her the best. Her mom is the sweetest woman. A baby is always a joy!”

Maddie — who was born Thursday — weighed 7 lbs., 11 ounces. She’s the first child for the former Zoey 101 star, 17, and fiancé Casey Aldridge, 19, a pipe layer.

On Saturday, Spears left the Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi, two days after giving birth.

Bailon, 24, said she is no rush for mommyhood.

“100 percent, I will be married when I have my first child,” she told Us. “I know that is a pretty big statement, but my mom would murder me. I come from a super religious family.”

Maddie Briann entered the world with a full head of hair, her daddy’s toes and the world’s most famous aunt waiting just outside the door.

New mom Jamie Lynn Spears, daddy Casey Aldridge and baby Maddie are catching up on rest following the birth Thursday at a hospital in McComb, Miss., near the Spears family home across the state line in Kentwood, La., a source tells PEOPLE.
“They’re doing terrific,” the source says. “The baby’s got 10 fingers and 10 toes … and a full head of hair. She’s long, a tall baby, and she weighs 7 lbs, 11 oz.”

When the baby was born at about 9:30 a.m., Jamie Lynn’s sister, Britney Spears, and the rest of the Spears and Aldridge families were just outside the birthing room in the spacious maternity suite.

The relatives then joined the new family in the birthing room and took turns holding Maddie Briann and commenting on her features. When new grandmother Joyce Aldridge held the baby, she remarked that Maddie “has Casey’s toes,” the source says.

Britney Spears has a tearful goodbye with her family as she left her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana the day after younger sister Jamie Lynn gives birth to a daughter, Maddie Briann.

Spears, 26, is likely on her way back to her home in Beverly Hills. (The singer is currently at work on a new album, her vocal producer and co-writer Jim Beanz confirmed exclusively to Usmagazine)

Maddie Briann was born Thursday weighing 7 lbs., 11 ounces. She is the first child for Jamie Lynn, 17, and fiance Casey Aldridge.

“I’m sure the baby’s beautiful, and I’m so glad everybody’s healthy and doing well,” cousin Alli Sims told Us an after-party for Wanted in Los Angeles on Thursday.

“I just wish them all the happiness in the world,” she said. “I know they’re going to have so much fun.”

Britney Spears “intends to return to Louisiana,” her mom Lynne says in a declaration to the L.A. Superior Court filed Tuesday obtained by Joynews.

“Britney has spent a majority of her time over the last five years in the state of California due in part to work but primarily with respect to a custody dispute currently ongoing,” Lynne explains.

Britney’s ex Kevin Federline has primary custody of their two young children, Jayden James and Sean Preston.

At Tuesday’s hearing, the court commissioner granted Britney’s father Jamie permission to sell the singer’s six-bedroom home in Beverly Hills, CA. (Because her father is her co-conservator, the decision to sell the home required a court’s approval.)

Though she has spent most of her time in Beverly Hills, Britney has owned a home in their hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana for the past eight years.

Britney and Jamie flew to Kentwood Wednesday for the birth of Britney’s younger sister Jamie Lynn’s baby, Maddie Briann, Thursday.

Jamie Lynn Spears welcomed in a little baby girl this morning, Maddie Briann. With all the drama in the Spears’ lives it doesn’t surprise me one bit that Jamie Lynn picked a whacked out name like that for her daughter. Jamie Lynn Spears’s hometown of Kentwood, La., was buzzing with the news she gave birth, with friends and relatives expressing surprise, relief and confidence the 17-year-old will be a good mother.

“She’s awfully young to be a momma,” says distant cousin Margie Busby. “But that’s what they make [grandmothers] for. They have to help. That’s the way it is with our circle of friends.”

Second cousin Janet Bridges acknowledges, “I didn’t even know she had the baby,” but gives a thumbs up to the baby girl’s name. “Ooh, I like ‘Maddie,’” says Bridges.

The birth was the talk of Kentwood. “I’m really happy for her and her family,” says Jennifer Pike, who works at the corner store where the Spears family often shops. “There will probably be some rough times and some bumpy times, but I wish the best for her. I wish her all the luck in the world.”

“We’re so excited for her,” a family friend tells PEOPLE. “She’ll be a great mom. She’ll be awesome.”

Adds another friend, “She was so excited about having this child. (She was) looking forward to it so much.”

The days have passed slowly for Spears and fiancé Casey Aldridge, who had finished preparing for the baby a few weeks ago. “It seemed like this day would never come,” says a cousin of Aldridge. “They’ve been getting ready, but everything was pretty much done by last month. So they just had to wait.”

Now that Maddie Briann is here, family members hope that Spears and Aldridge are good parents. “It’s easy to have them, but hard to raise them,” says relative Charlie Spears. “I hope she’s healthy, and I hope they raise a good baby.”

Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge’s decision to name their newborn daughter Maddie Briann is “a surprising choice,” baby name expert Pam Satran, coauthor of baby-naming guides Cool Names and The Baby Name Bible, tells Joynews.

“[Maddie is] cute but nearly old-fashioned at this point,” Satran says. “The nickname Maddie has been popular in its own right since the 1980s, when it was the name used by the character played by Cybill Shepherd in Moonlighting.”

The name is short for Madeline (the French variation of Magdalen, which is Greek for “high tower) or Madison (of English origin, meaning “son of the mighty warrior”), which was a top name several years ago, Satran explains.

“Both Jamie and Maddie are ’80s-style nickname names,” Satran adds. “Rather than mother and daughter, they sound like classmates – co-captains of the cheerleading squad!”

As for Maddie’s middle name, Briann, Satran reveals its “a modern feminization of Brian, Irish for ’strong.’

Briann, Brian, Brianne and Brianna have been trending downward over the past several years, Satran points out.
