Jennifer Aniston is insecure

Posted on 23 June 2008 by JoyCeleb

Jennifer Connelly

The latest issue of Life & Style claims Jennifer Aniston had her co-star, Jennifer Connelly, booted off the Marie Claire cover shoot for their new film, He’s Just Not That Into You. Drew Barrymore and Ginnifer Goodwin, however, were allowed.

Connelly… will not be included in an upcoming cover shoot for Marie Claire magazine that will feature Aniston… and her other co-stars from the October comedy, Drew Barrymore and Ginnifer Goodwin. “Word is, Aniston threatened to pull out if Jennifer was part of the cover,” says an insider familiar with the movie’s shoot. “It was all about getting Jennifer Aniston front and center and looking as sexy as possible.”

Of course. Scarlett Johansson is notably absent from the approved list as well. This is the equivalent of a bride getting two fat cows to be her bridesmaids at her wedding so she can look good by comparison. if I was shooting the cover, I’d tell Jennifer Aniston to shut the hell up and shove Aniston’s face in between Jennifer Connelly and Scarlett Johansson’s breasts to piss her off. When people go to check out the movie because of the cover, they’ll probably start wondering where the hell Jennifer Aniston came from.

Many Hollywood celebrities really behind Obama

Posted on 20 June 2008 by JoyCeleb

Many Hollywood heavyweights who had supported Hillary Clinton are rallying behind Barack Obama, pledging money and star power to his U.S. presidential bid before a big fundraiser next week.

Experts say that since Clinton conceded defeat this month after a grueling Democratic nominating contest, celebrities have quickly united behind Obama.

The result, they said, could be a campaign cash windfall for the senator from Illinois, but star support doesn’t necessarily translate directly to votes.

Sherry Bebitch Jeffe, a senior scholar at the University of Southern California, said that once a politician becomes known, voters look for candidates with positions they like and with whom they can identify, regardless of celebrity backing.

In fact, stars can cause harm if a performer’s public image rubs voters the wrong way. That happened when Jane Fonda and Barbra Streisand campaigned for former Texas Gov. Ann Richards in her conservative state, and Richards lost the bid.

“Sometimes they can come back to bite the candidate,” Jeffe said.

But Los Angeles is a town where stars wield a great deal of power and have money to spend, and numerous celebrities are expected to turn out at a Tuesday fundraiser featuring the singer Seal — at a cost of $2,300 per ticket.

Director Steven Spielberg and his partner in the Dreamworks movie studio, David Geffen, and Dreamworks Animation Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Katzenberg are organizing another Obama fundraiser later this year, said Andy Spahn, a consultant to the Hollywood power trio.

“If a Hollywood celebrity puts his or her mind to it, they’re good money raisers,” Jeffe said.

ALIGNING THE STARS

Mitchell Schwartz, who was Obama’s California campaign manager through the primary election season, said Obama’s appeal in Hollywood had been limited, until now.

“I don’t think we were the Hollywood candidate — ever,” Schwartz said. “I think Hillary might have been more … she might have had more support.”

Other Obama celebrity endorsers include actors talk show host Oprah Winfrey and actors Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson and Halle Berry.

Billionaire Geffen upset many Hollywood power players last year when the longtime Clinton supporter broke for Obama.

Oscar winner Hanks, the star of “The Da Vinci Code,” gave money to Bill Clinton’s legal defense fund when he was president, but endorsed Obama with an online video in early May, when Hillary Clinton was still campaigning.

During the primaries, Obama had trouble attracting Hispanic voters in some states because, analysts said, some Hispanics were reluctant to vote for a black candidate.

But a pro-Obama video in Spanish with Hispanic actors Jessica Alba of “The Love Guru,” John Leguizamo of “The Happening” and comedian George Lopez, has attracted more than 250,000 viewers on the video sharing site YouTube.com.

“It helps build a broader sense of a candidate’s support,” said professor Chon Noriega, director of the University of California, Los Angeles, Chicano Studies Research Center. “But I don’t think that because George Lopez said support (a candidate) somebody’s going to say, ‘Well that’s who I’m going to vote for.”‘

Presumptive Republican candidate Sen. John McCain also has his celebrity endorsers, including actors Robert Duvall and Sylvester Stallone.

Alanis Morissette continues channeling her anger

Posted on 10 June 2008 by JoyCeleb

Alanis Morissette is not the person Rob Thomas thought she was.

Matchbox Twenty and its lead singer once saw her as a Zenlike soul, Morissette told Newsweek for its issue hitting newsstands Monday.

“He kept saying that whenever I wasn’t with him, his imagining was that I was levitating somewhere, meditating,” the Canadian singer said.

But then, “we had the most debaucherous, entertaining, hysterical time together, so they were the first to say that their perception of me was a little off,” she told the magazine. She did not elaborate on the debaucherous details.

Morissette is in the process of releasing her latest album “Flavors of Entanglement” and writing her first book, a compilation of essays, photographs and mood-boosting exercises.

She uses writing as an outlet for her anger, which she said is not directed toward ex-boyfriend Ryan Reynolds. The actor recently became engaged to actress Scarlett Johansson.

“I’m really happy for him,” she said.

Penelope Cruz Photos at Premiere of Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Posted on 20 May 2008 by JoyCeleb

Penelope Cruz was looking muy excellente at the premiere of “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.” In the movie, Penelope plays “Maria Elena” and co-stars with Scarlett Johansson, Chris Messina, Patricia Clarkson, and Javier Bardem. As far as a movie reveiw, I don’t have one — but hey, look at Penelope Cruz. I do however have a little information regarding the plot:

“A painter enters a relationship with two American tourists. Conflict begins with the painter’s jealous ex-girlfriend.”

Scarlett Johansson Does Italian GQ Magazine

Posted on 20 May 2008 by JoyCeleb

More bullshit from another diva actress. Despite Scarlett Johansson telling GQ Italy “I’m a lover, not a fighter” she certainly tried her best to complicate things at Cannes Film Festival this year.

The actress failed to attend the premiere of the Woody Allen flick “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” at Cannes because she thinks she’s better than everyone else and demanded a higher appearance fee.

Adding insult to injury, Johansson refused to stay at the same five star hotel and use the same makeup artist as her co-star Penelope Cruz. Had the studio complied with her wishes, it would have cost them an additional 5,000 euros per day.

An executive connected with the film said, “While Woody’s terribly fond of Scarlett, he was a little upset that she wasn’t being a team player.”

Real nice. Reminds me of all those extreme liberal douchebags that bitch about the state of America and instead of going out and giving back to the community, they sit at home and keep hitting the bong. Selfish, egotistical, and most of all — delusional.

Marisa Miller Tops Maxim’s Hot 100

Posted on 17 May 2008 by JoyCeleb

Marisa Miller is the hottest in all the land!

Marisa Miller becomes the first to debut in the number one position on Maxim Magazine’s Hot 100 list, which was just released this week. And oddly enough, Marisa had previously never been included in the Hot 100 list, but this was an exceptional year for the model. Not only did she grace the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit edition, she was added to and took home the number one spot on Maxim’s Hot list.

Marisa was followed by Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Biel, Eva Longoria Parker, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elisha Cuthbert, Eva Mendes, Christina Aguilera, Lindsay Lohan and Ashley Tisdale to round out the top 10.

Actress Megan Fox, who was FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the World in 2008, was only garnered the number 16 position. Other women who were listed are Rihanna, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Jessica Alba, Hilary Duff, Heidi Klum, Jessica Simpson, Charlize Theron, Gabrielle Union, Mariah Carey, Cameron Diaz and Mischa Barton.

And pulling off a trifecta for “The Hills” stars, Heidi Montag, Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge all made the Maxim Top 100 list, in addition to everyone’s favorite reality star and MySpace queen, Tila Tequila. However, congratulations are in order for Marisa Miller!

Jennifer Aniston in Mexico

Posted on 13 May 2008 by JoyCeleb

Jennifer Aniston was spotted sunbathing in her bikini in Mexico. Jen is currently on a break with Friends actress Courtney Cox and her husband David Arquette, however they were nowhere to be seen, instead Jen was joined by an older man and another dark haired man. The rumours that Aniston is pregnant have well and truly been squashed as she showed of her fabulous figure. Jennifer has three films being released this year, involving actors such as Scarlett Johansson, Ben Affleck, and Aaron Eckhart. Go Jen!
